Still Need More Parking: CF Planning & Zoning Commission

A shortage of parking under the City’s current rules is still a bone-of-contention in discussions about a proposed apartment complex and retail development in the College Hill area of Cedar Falls.

The Planning & Zoning Commission got a look at a revised site plan last(Wed) night, a layout that would provide more parking than the original proposal…94 spaces for the maximum 120 residents, plus room for bikes, and two stores on the ground floor…but commission members seemed to agree that it’s still not enough for a development that’s chiefly residential.

The Planning & Zoning hearing will resume July 11th and the commission will likely make its recommendation then.
