Cedar Rapids PD Now Looking for Three Persons-of-Interest in Weekend Shooting

Cedar Rapids police say they’ve identified three “persons of interest,” in connection with Saturday morning’s fatal shooting in the parking lot of the Iowa Smoke Shop on Kirkwood Court Southwest .

18-year olds Matrell Johnson and Royal Abram both died from their wounds, while two 19-year olds, a man and a woman, who were also in the car into which the shots were fired, remain hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

The people police are looking for are 25-year old Andre Richardson, 24-year old Alexandra Smith, and 21-year old DeShawn Hull.

Cedar Rapids detectives say their investigation continues and they believe this was a targeted attack.  They don’t think, however, that it was related to the shooting that occurred in the 100 block of 29th Street Drive Southeast earlier in the evening last Friday.
