Cedar Falls Council Sets Ridgeway Speed Limit, while Waterloo Waits before Acting on University

While the Waterloo City Council decided to wait until construction is done on University Avenue before agreeing on a speed limit (or limits), the Cedar Falls Council last(Mon) night agreed to lower the limit on a stretch of Ridgeway Avenue from 45 miles an hour to 35.   It’s the section from Hudson Road east to Highway-58.

In other business last(Mon) night in Cedar Falls, the council approved the third-and-final reading of what’s hoped to be a clarified version of a 48-hour parking limit on all city streets for all vehicles.   The City will not go out looking for violations, but will react on a complaint basis.

The council also gave second reading to an ordinance to rezone 119 acres northwest of where the new (CF) high school will be built.  It’ll contain more than 200 lots, including 30 along Union Road, near the Robinson Dresser Sports Complex.
