Waterloo Council to Vote on Millions in Sanitary Sewer Spending

The Waterloo City Council will be asked to approve a four-and-a-quarter-million-dollar contract tonight(Mon) to build the Dry Run Creek interceptor sewer.  The Boomerang Corporation of Anamosa submitted the low bid.

Also up for council approval tonight(Mon) is a 1 ½-million dollar contract with Strand Associates of Madison, Wisconsin, for bidding and construction engineering services to upgrade the bio-solids handling at the wastewater treatment plant.

Tonight’s Waterloo council meeting begins at 5:30.   At 4:10, members will hold a work session about understanding the city’s financial health.

The public is welcome to attend both meetings, but is not invited to comment during the work session.
