Cedar Falls Mayor Jim Brown says the (CF) Industrial Park is in the process of adding a convention center and a 92-room, extended stay hotel.

Chris-Bo Hospitality of Rapid City, South Dakota, opened the Hilton Garden Inn five years ago and is now working on a major expansion of its meeting space there to a full-fledged convention center.

Brown says Chris-Bo is also planning a 60,000 square foot, TownePlace Suites by Marriott extended-stay hotel, to complement the expanded convention center. The company wants to break ground on both projects by this fall.
