A Robins man riding his bicycle early this(Fri) morning near Marion was struck from behind by a car.

45-year old Louie Ervin II was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Linn County deputies say Ervin and another bicyclist wer riding north on Alburnett Road near County Home Road about 5:45 this(Fri) morning, when Ervin was rear-ended by 28-year old Nicholas Lowe of Marion, who told authorities he didn’t see the bikes.

Lowe was not injured, but he was cited for following too close. Ervin was wearing a helmet when he was hit.
