Waterloo to Teach Nuts & Bolts of City Government

They’re calling it “Waterloo Works! Residents Academy,” and a news release today (Fri) from City Hall says the free, 8-week-long course will be designed to give Waterloo residents an in-depth look at how their city government works.

Participation is for city residents only, who are at least 18…classes are on Thursday evenings from 6 to 9, with some variations possible, depending on when individual departments are available for tours…and class sizes are limited to 30 people, with the first class to be held April 5th.

The registration deadline is February 28th and applicants should e-mail their name, address, phone number and e-mail address to Wendy Bowman at Wendy.Bowman@Waterloo-IA.org. Those who qualify can also complete a form on the city’s website.
