Queen – A Kind Of Magic

Written by the drummer, Roger Taylor, for the soundtrack of one of my favorite movies, Highlander, “A Kind Of Magic” ran in the credits of the movie. The title came from a line from the main character, Connor McCleod (Christopher Lambert) when asked how he was able to be immortal, he replied, “It’s a kind of magic…”

Queen did the soundtrack for the film and the album released from Queen had all of the music featured in the movie, but as a Queen album. “One Vision”, “Who Wants To Live Forever”, “Princes Of The Universe” and of course, “A Kind Of Magic” which peaked at #42 on the Hot 100, but got lots of play on MTV and radio, back in 1986.
