Focus – Hocus Pocus

Released in 1971 by Dutch prog rockers, Focus, this single didn’t make it anywhere near a chart in the U.S. until 1973.

“Hocus Pocus” was a fast moving rocker with yodeling, flute, lots of drums and guitar and was a song people either loved or hated. Most dug the “almost instrumental” piece so much, it finally made the Hot 100 and eventually peaked at #9 in the states.

You can hear it again, tomorrow, May 2, 2020, on the Classic AT40 – The 70s with Casey Kasem!
