I love listening to the music on 1057 KOKZ, and have it directly sync to memories of my childhood. Especially SUMMER !! The swimming pool, neighborhood shenanigans, trips to relatives and hours and hours on the bike, pedaling all over town. I can’t be the only kid to climb the high dive, second guess their life choices, but refuse to back down the ladder. Billy Joel saying, “You may be right, I may be crazy…” was never before so incredibly true. So I swallowed, prayed again and just ran off the end. No style points. At all. But it was pretty much was my only option, or I would hear about it for all eternity from my siblings and every kid in the neighborhood if I chickened out. We biked, we played the radio by the window and listened to how funny Diana Ross sounded through the fan. Good stuff. Good times. And that’s why this is the Best in Iowa’s Classic Hits.
