2020 has been quite a year. As an Iowan, we’ve all seen our share of storms. Straight line winds, tornadoes, etc. But what blew through Eastern Iowa today was incredible! At our Hiawatha studios, we lost power about 12:35pm and dealt with sustained winds for nearly 40 minutes. Trees and power lines down. Our sign off Center Point Road, down. The lobby of the station was flooded. Amazing. The good news is, no one was hurt, except our ears….from the sound of dead air!

Thanks to our engineering crew, we’re back up, but not back to normal. Good luck with your clean-up and thanks to the crews for all of their work now and to come on getting everyone back up and running. Another memorable 2020 story for the books.
