Released in 1978 on his album, ‘Son of a Son of a Sailor’, Jimmy Buffet’s beloved song about a cheeseburger with everything, made it to the Top 40!
“Cheeseburger In Paradise” was kind of autobiographical as the man in the song was trying to eat healthier foods like sunflowers seeds and such, but could only think of cheeseburgers, Jimmy, himself, was forced to eat canned food and peanut butter due to an issue with what was on the boat he took to the Caribbean!
By the time he made landfall, he wanted something fulfilling and what’s better than a cheeseburger with EVERYTHING and fries?!?!
The song peaked at #32 on the Hot 100 and became a staple at live shows for the “Parrot Heads”!
