Bars to close in six Iowa counties due to COVID

By Tim Martin Aug 27, 2020 | 12:54 PM

Governor Kim Reynolds announced today, due to rising positive cases of COVID among a good percentage of young adults between the ages of 18 – 24, bars are to close in Johnson, Linn, Black Hawk, Dallas, Polk, and Story counties. Restaurants who also serve alcohol may stay open but must stop sales of alcohol at 10pm. This is to try to stop the spread of COVID among this age group as they aren’t social distancing and wearing masks as suggested.

The order is set to expire September 20, unless it gets extended.
