If 2020 was a normal year, Eastern Iowa would be getting ready for the UNI Panthers vs the Iowa Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium this Saturday. But as we know, this year has been anything but normal.
UNI and the Missouri Valley Conference are planning to play an 8 game schedule in Spring of 2021. As for the Big Ten, who knows? They’ve said spring, and there have been rumors of the season starting as early as October. Stay tuned. If you’re a Cyclone fan, you WILL have football. Iowa State opens their season in Ames vs. Louisiana-Lafayette on September 12th.
The NFL will kick off their season on September 10th with the Texans vs. the Super Bowl Champion Chiefs, and of course you can always support your area Iowa High School football teams who started play last Friday night.
