Steve Forbert – Romeo’s Tune

From the realm of “One Hit Wonders” comes Steve Forbert! Not exactly a pop/rock name (still can’t figure out how Englebert Humperdink made it), but he did have one Top 20 Hit in 1979-80.

“Romeo’s Tune” was all over pop AM radio and ended up peaking at 11 on the Hot 100.

Luckily, Steve has had songs he wrote recorded by the likes of Rosanne Cash, Keith Urban, Marty Stuart and Webb Wilder, so he’s probably not doing too badly.
