Parliament – Flash Light

At the beginning of 1978, a time of Disco, Funk, Punk, KISS and little else, Parliament was a stand-out act that was as fun and funky as you could get.

George Clinton (Godfather of Space-Funk) released as Parliament, the album ‘Funkentelechy Vs. the Placebo Syndrome’…. Yeah George was and odd duck.

From that album though, a Top 20 pop single, also the band’s first R&B hit from any of his P-Funk bands, and Parliament’s second million-selling single, after “Give Up the Funk (Tear The Roof Off This Sucker), “Flash Light” peaked at #16 on the Hot 100 and gave Casablanca Records it’s first #1 R&B hit!
