Of course, the world lost Helen Reddy this week at the age of 78. I always had a crush on her as a kid. She had a great smile and bright and beautiful eyes.
Harriet Schock (who?) wrote and first recorded “Ain’t No Way To Treat A Lady” in 1974. It was covered a few times before Helen Reddy recorded it for her ‘No Way To Treat A Lady’ album, released in 1975.
This was the definitive version and Helen took this to the Top 10 where it peaked at #8. It was her last Top 10 single.
