One on the early 70s “one-hit wonders” was a Top 10 hit from Dutch Duo Mouth & MacNeal!
Big Mouth, born Willem Duyn was a solo artist who had branched out from 60s bands and was put together by a record producer with Maggie MacNeal, born Sjoukje van’t Spijker (don’t ask me how to pronounce that) to record hit singles because their voices matched so well.
The first hit in the Netherlands was “Hey You Love” that peaked at #5 on the Dutch chart and two more, “How Do You Do” and “Hello-A”, both Topping that chart!
“How Do You Do?” became a worldwide hit in 1972, even peaking at #8 on the U.S. Hot 100, spending 19 weeks on that chart!
