38 Special – If I’d Been The One
The first single released from 38 Special’s 1983 album, ‘Tour de Force’ was released with a video featuring the beautiful Julianne Phillips! She was Bruce Springsteen’s first wife until they divorced in 1988 after 3 years of marriage. I remember having a huge crush on her from this video and from seeing them both, often, in Us Weekly.
“If I’d Been The One” (#19) was also the lead track on the album followed by “Back Where You Belong” (#20). Both Top 20 hits!
‘Tour de Force’ was a hit album for the band, peaking at #22 on the Billboard 200 album chart!
