Saga – On The Loose
The Canadian band was about to release their second album, ‘Worlds Apart’ when a new cable channel focused on music video was launched in 1981 called MTV. Saga’s management suggested making a video for the second single, “On The Loose” which ended up being advantageous since the fledgling music channel didn’t have a ton of videos to air.
This airplay for “On The Loose” helped Saga break into the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, peaking the song # 26 in 1982! Many FM station were playing this as well, which made it a rock radio staple for a while.
